As a result of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, the Victorian Government introduced a range of measures to better protect children.

• The Child Safe Standards

• Reportable Conduct Scheme

• Organisational Duty of Care

The Child Safe Standards

From 1 January 2016, all early childhood services are required to comply with new Child Safe Standards designed to ensure that organisations that work with children take steps to create a culture of child safety and protect children from all forms of abuse.
