I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family to Altona Meadows Primary School. It is with great pride and excitement that I lead AMPS into the next phase of its educational journey.

Our staff are dedicated, caring and very enthusiastic about ensuring that they provide the best possible learning environments and opportunities for your children, our community. When you walk around our school you will observe students highly engaged in their learning, showing our school values at all times. Being challenged by our staff and taking every opportunity to grow.

Our curriculum has an emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy skills and improving analytical thinking skills for all students. We strive to support students in developing social relationships and personal skills that assist them to participate successfully in both school and the wider community. We provide additional programs including Auslan, Performing Arts (Music & Drama), Visual Arts and Physical Education. Our school stands a part from those around us as we also run the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. Our students 3-6 participate in regular sessions developing essential lifeskills in gardening and cooking with the aim of increasing healthy 'garden to plate' living. Our aim is to develop young people that are ready for the world around them and fully prepared to transition into their next educational milestone.

Our moto at Altona Meadows Primary School is to provide an engaging, friendly environment that enhances learning, personal growth and wellbeing of all students, enabling them to become lifelong learners. This is enhanced with our school values of Respect, Resilience and Striving for Excellence.

One of the most valuable things about Altona Meadows Primary School is our wonderful community. We strongly believe that for students to be successful at school there needs to be a strong partnership and connection with families. We highly value the importance of this partnership and encourage families to be active in their child’s educational journey.

Please contact our friendly office staff to organise a tour or if you require further information.
